Franziska Katharina Lembcke joined the staff of the German Council of Economic Experts as economist for labour markets and social policy in April 2020. She worked as research assistant at the chair of Labor Economics and Political Economy at the University of Heidelberg. She analysed the labor and vocational training market effects of product market liberalisation and the determinants of low fertility rates as part of her doctoral studies. Between 2014 and 2015 she worked as research assistant at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research. She studied economics at the Universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim and the University of Essex, Colchester (UK).
