Felix Rutkowski joined the staff of the Council as economist for financial markets in June 2017. Prior to this, he was research assistant at the Institute for Finance and Statistics at the University of Bonn and Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods. From October 2013 to December 2015, he worked as research assistant at the Chair of Financial Economics at the University of Mainz. In his doctoral studies, he focuses on changes in banking regulation and supervision since the financial crisis of 2008. He studied economics at the Universities of Mainz and Karlstad (Sweden) and business administration at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
