The members of the German Council of Economic Experts have reappointed Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Monika Schnitzer as the chair of the council for a second term. In accordance with the law, she is elected for a period of three years.
Monika Schnitzer is professor of comparative economics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU). She has been the chair of GCEE since October 2022. Her research focuses on innovation, competition and multinational corporations.
