Quiet period begins: Hand-over of annual report on 6 November

Today, the quiet period of the German Council of Economic Experts begins. The council members will not make any public statements until the annual report has been handed over to the German government on 6 November 2019.

In accordance with its legal mandate, the Council will discuss the economic situation at national and international level as well as its development. The annual report will also comprise the first productivity report prepared by the German Council of Economic Experts as a newly appointed National Productivity Board.
