Today, is the first day of the quiet period of the German Council of Economic Experts. The council members will not make any public statements until the Annual Report 2021/22 is handed over to the German Federal Government. The Annual Report will be published on this website on Wednesday 10 November 2021 – at the same time as the handover.
In accordance with its legal mandate, the council will discuss the economic situation at national and international level as well as its development and the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. The Annual Report will also include the third national productivity report, which the council publishes annually as the national productivity board of Germany.
