Claudia Schaffranka, M.A.

Claudia Schaffranka (born Kühne) is senior economist for financial markets and energy policy on the scientific staff. She joined the scientific staff of the GCEE in March 2022. She studied economics at the University of Tübingen and New York University. From 2012 to 2015 she gained professional experience at the Boston Consulting Group where she was a member of the Risk Team. As a PhD student at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and during a visit at Columbia University her research focused on financial intermediation and the bank lending channel of monetary policy.
