Charlotte Rochell is an economist for applied microeconomics and productivity on the scientific staff of the GCEE. She joined the scientific staff in January 2026. Prior to joining the Council, she worked as a research associate at the Technologiestiftung Berlin and was an external consultant to the OECD Technology Innovation Policy (TIP) Workingparty. In her doctoral thesis at the Technical University Berlin she analysed innovation dynamics in firms in various geographical contexts. She studied economics at the Humboldt University Berlin, Linköping University and Technical University of Berlin.
