Tim Hermann, M.Sc.

Economist

Tim Hermann joined the scientific staff of the GCEE as economist for macroeconomics in July 2025. Prior to joining the Council, he was a research assistant at the Cluster of Excellence “The Politics of Inequality” and at the Chair of International Macroeconomics at the University of Konstanz. He studied economics at Goethe University Frankfurt, the University of Konstanz, and the University of Essex. During his doctoral studies at the University of Konstanz, which included a research visit at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, he examined the interplay between political processes, fiscal policy, and economic inequality using quantitative macroeconomic models.
