Appointment of Gabriel Felbermayr

Prof. Mag. Gabriel Felbermayr, Ph.D., is a new member of the German Council of Economic Experts. 

Gabriel Felbermayr is director of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO) in Vienna and university professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). His research focuses on issues of international trade theory and policy, labour market research and European economic integration.

His term will continue until 28 February 2031 and succeeds Prof. Dr. mult. Dr. h.c. Ulrike Malmendier, her term of office ended on 28 February 2026.
