At the proposal of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Sigmar Gabriel, the German cabinet has proposed to the Federal President the reappointment of Professor Dr. Christoph M. Schmidt, President of RWI and Ruhr-University Bochum, for the term until 29 February 2020 for the German Council of Economic Experts. Professor Dr. Christoph M. Schmidt is member of the Council since 2009 and chair since 2013.
