Effective 16 June 2015, Dr. Jochen Andritzky was appointed Secretary General of the German Council of Economic Experts. He succeeds Dr. Benjamin Weigert who takes up a new assignment at Deutsche Bundesbank.
Dr. Andritzky completed his doctorate at the University of St. Gallen and the University of California UCSC. From 2006 to 2015, Dr. Andritzky served at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in various capacities, focusing on debt crises and the IMF programs in the euro area.
