This year's quiet period of the German Council of Economic Experts starts 9 October 2025. The council members will not make any public statements on economic policy issues until the Annual Report 2025/26 is handed over to the German Federal Government on Wednesday, 12 November 2025. The Annual Report will be published on this website at the beginning of the press conferences subsequent to the handover to the government.
In accordance with its legal mandate, the council will discuss the economic situation at national and international level as well as its development.
